Amperometric Detection of Nitrate via a Nitrate Reductase Immobilized and Electrically Wired at the Electrode Surface

A nitrate biosensor based on the adsorption of a nitrate reductase-amphiphilic pyrrole viologen on the electrode surface followed by electropolymerization of the resulting adsorbed layer is described.
