Electrospray-ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry in protein chemistry

A novel electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer with an ion mirror has been developed. The instrument's potential is demonstrated in a study of the pathways of recombinant proinsulin proteolytic processing.
