Labile hydrogen counting in biomolecules using deuterated reagents in desorption chemical ionization and fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry
In fast atom bombardment (FAB) experiments, a new procedure was developed that achieves high levels of deuterium substitution, avoids the risk of hydrogen/deuterium back-exchange with atmospheric water and allows the use of any water-soluble FAB matrix.
