Zusammenfassung: | The development of human capital at the professional level beyond 2020 is needed to meet the expansion of the forestry sector in Malaysia. It takes care not only of biodiversity and the forest but also the good economic returns for the country. Professional foresters also manage the services provided by forest ecosystems for the daily sustenance of Malaysia’s population of about 32 million. The importance of forestry education in the country in relation to the nation’s needs and what is expected of professional foresters beyond 2020 are herein discussed. |
