Zusammenfassung: | The Dakota Commemorative March in 2002 transpired through the efforts of hundreds of individuals: those who helped in the planning; those who supported the march either through prayers, monetary, or food donations; those who contributed their time and energy; and those who participated in the commemorative event. Here, Wilson presents comments transcribed from video or audio recordings of meetings after the event, and others from newspaper clippings or comments addressed to her after the event was completed. It was important to try to document as unobstrusively as possible the thoughts and feelings of participants, as most individuals were deeply affected by the participation and felt transformed by the end of the experience. |
