Zusammenfassung:This article tackles the issue of the environmental conditions of spas located in south-western Poland. The evaluation involves air quality and the observations of changes in air quality within the time span of a number of years. The concentration levels acceptable in Poland are established in legal regulations which are different for spa areas and protected curative areas as opposed to other types of areas in the country. The contents of substances present in the air in a given zone are evaluated by province -based environmental protection inspectorates (EPIs) and other units indicated by the EPIs, with an indication of classification in zones. The results of the studies are passed onto the marshal of a given province, who is obligated to undertake preventive and remedial actions in situations where the proper air quality standards in a given zone have been compromised. The study revealed a breach of the norm for PM10, PM2.5 and benzo( a)pyrene particulates.
