Zusammenfassung: | In the past decade a multitude of operations research models have appeared in the literature, each promising to help library managers in making better plans and decisions. The major reasons which seem to be preventing operations research from achieving its potential and fulfilling the expectations of its proponents in library management are explored. Finally, a prescription is formulated to guide library managers in working more effectively with operations researchers. |
