A Case Study of Supplemental Instruction in Biology Focused on At-Risk Students

Supplemental instruction was found to be a useful adjunct in improving students' performance in a basic biology course for science and engineering majors. This is especially true for minority and women students who have been difficult to retain in scientific career paths.
