Zusammenfassung:The Uganda Children's Writers and Illustrators Association (UCWIA) was created in 2000 and is now the lead organization in the recently established Ugandan National Section of IBBY. The UCWIA brings together children's writers and illustrators, librarians, teachers, publishers, and booksellers from all over Uganda. Its main objectives are to bring together African writers and illustrators that depict situations familiar to African children, and to collect and use children books from around the world to develop a reading culture.
