Zusammenfassung:A few of these developments include a better understanding of dissolved oxygen regimes required for activated sludge process design, the appropriate use of selector technology within these tanks, a fundamental understanding of nuisance organism proliferation, and concepts related to minimizing process foaming. Evaluation of bacterial aggregation and flocculation combined with an improved understanding of soluble and colloidal chemical oxygen demand fractions was covered in several investigations on reversible and irreversible fouling of membrane bioreactor (MBR) systems.
