Legislators, school boards, and district administrators who are proposing additional changes that will affect the school and the principal's role should realize that many principals are severely limited in their capacity to take on additional duties. In addition to the time constraints, the principals, because of external priorities, are increasingly becoming managers, rather than instructional leaders. |
