ACK series is popular among Indians around the world, and criticisms on ACK comics focus mainly on two issues: portrayal of women and portrayal of minorities. ACK Comics on Rukmini, Kannagi, Noor Jahan, and Rani of Jhansi are the artifacts selected for analysis. These artifacts represent different spheres of life during different periods in India: Rukmini, a popular character from Indian mythology, is the wife of Lord Krishna. |
