RAPID REMOVAL OF PARACETAMOL BY HÆMOPERFUSION THROUGH COATED CHARCOAL In-vivo and In-vitro Studies in the Pig
Using a method based on hæmoperfusion through a column of polyhydroxyethylmethacrylate (polyhema)-coated charcoal, paracetamol is rapidly removed from the pig, without loss of leucocytes or platelets, or particle embolism. These findings, together with rapid and simple assembly of the perfusion circ...

Zusammenfassung: | Using a method based on hæmoperfusion through a column of polyhydroxyethylmethacrylate (polyhema)-coated charcoal, paracetamol is rapidly removed from the pig, without loss of leucocytes or platelets, or particle embolism. These findings, together with rapid and simple assembly of the perfusion circuit, provide all the theoretical requirements for the successful use of this method in man. |
