Zusammenfassung: | A 20-month-old girl presented with signs of virilisation. Her endocrine function was essentially normal except for the peripheral testosterone levels which were equivalent to those found in early puberty in males. Selective venous sampling revealed that testosterone concentration was highest in the left renal vein. Subsequently a tumour was removed from the left adrenal. Histologically this tumour contained areas with features similar to the primitive sex cord. Postoperative follow-up over 15 months has been uneventful. |
