Zusammenfassung: | The effect of mechanical-thermal treatment using the radial shear rolling method on the structural-phase state and mechanical properties of the near β titanium alloy was studied by using the methods of scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. It was shown that this treatment under optimal conditions makes it possible to obtain a uniform ultrafine-grained structure in the alloy with an average size of structural elements less than 1 µm. Subsequent aging leads to the formation of a hierarchically organized structure and allows a significant (by more than 60%) increase in the strength of the rolled alloy from 950 to 1570 MPa with satisfactory plasticity (∼6%). |
