These comments are presented to increase the awareness among the readers of International Journal of Refrigeration. Comments are presented in particular on the paper by Mikielewicz et al. (2016) where the authors presented some incorrect information and equations in their analysis about the separated flow model. We use the separated flow model to develop frictional pressure drop models. Also, some lights on the Blasius's (1913) friction correlation are presented.
