Radiatively driven hypersonic wind tunnel
A new approach to the design of hypersonic wind tunnels is presented. Fundamental limitations of conventional isentropic expansions that arise from the very high temperatures required to achieve the the neccessary enthalpy for hypersonic flow motivated the new approach.
