Zusammenfassung:Links between influential secular intellectuals and the religious have been gradually re-established since the late 1970s. Many of the most highly respected writers have chosen to represent religious awakenings that try to form connections between secular and sacred ways of viewing the world. This return to religion can be seen as having significant implications. It is not possible to classify narratives of return as sacred texts, but they should be regarded as part of the religious resurgence currently taking place in society as a whole.
