Zusammenfassung:Background: Thyroid diseases are very common in our country and influence the quality of life of patients. Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the validity andreliability of the Turkish version of The ThyroidSpecific Quality of Life Questionnaire (ThyPRO). Methods: "ThyPRO Scale", "Data Collection Form For the Socio-Demographic and Medical Information of Patients", "Brief Disability Questionnaire" and "Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale" were applied to 204 patients who were diagnosed with non-toxic goiter, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, goiter, nodular goiter, multi-nodular goiter, Graves' disease and non-goiter autoimmune hypothyroidism. Results: Cronbach's a coefficient for the ThyPRO test and retest were found to be .95 and .95, respectively. According to the factor analysis 13 factors which constitute 61. 73% of the total variance were found. Conclusion: The results of the study showed that ThyPRO is valid and reliable scale in Turkey.It is considered that ThyPRO scale is important in evaluating the quality of life of thyroid patients. It contributes their health status, effectiveness of the treatment and nursing care.
