Minority and Minority Deaf Professionals

A total of 349 programs for the deaf, which employed 5,166 teachers and 877 administrators, were surveyed. Results indicate that 10.4% are from nonwhite or minority ethnic or cultural backgrounds. More than half of the minority professionals worked in public schools.
