Zusammenfassung:The article offers a descriptive model of the restructuring process (corporate turnaround) of the previous socialist ("old") enterprises in Slovenia. The author took Slatter's model of a corporate turnaround as a starting hypothesis. Five empirical surveys of the "old" Slovenian enterprises' strategic behaviour were carried out successively in 1994, 1996, 1997/98, 2001 and 2004/05. They enabled the author to develop his own model of the corporate restructuring process in the Slovenian transitional environment that consists of the following four stages: crisis, revitalisation, strategic change, and growth.
