Zusammenfassung: | Whelton examines the trends for out-of-area placements of adults with learning disabilities (aged 18 to 64) between 2006 and 2008. Out-of-area placement is an issue for many people, not just people with learning disabilities, but more people with learning disabilities are placed out of area than any other group. In 2008, 59% or all out-of-area placements made related to people with learning disabilities, compared with 19% for people with physical disabilities, 17% for people with mental health problems and five percent for other people. |
