Zusammenfassung: | The aim of the study was to discover if, and to what extent, elderly people use modern information technology in relation to their health, with particular regard to physical activity. The study was carried out from late September to early October 2017. The participants were 148 people over the age of 60, living in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Mid-northern Poland. A diagnostic survey method was used in the study, using a questionnaire as an instrument. From the 148 issued questionnaires, only 108 correctly completed ones were chosen for the study. Elderly people use modern technology mainly to obtain information about health, and among these people there were significantly more women than men. There is a need to educate elderly people in the use of modern technology with regard to improving their health. |
