Zusammenfassung:Two gnotobiotic calves were inoculated intranasally and orally with IBRV. One calf developed a fever, conjunctivitis and a nasal discharge while the other remained clinically normal throughout the experiment. Four weeks after inoculation both calves had a microscopic meningo-encephalitis, the lesions occurring in the pons, gyrus sygmoideus posterior, and the corpus striatum.
