Zusammenfassung:This article describes The Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP), an empirically based intervention program that has been designed to prevent marital distress and divorce. The results of longitudinal studies indicating PREP's short-term and long-term effectiveness are presented. Clinical implications, current dissemination efforts in the United States and Europe, and future implementation and research directions of PREP are discussed.
