Zusammenfassung: | Maintained reliability systems (MRSs) generally operate in three phases: normal operation, failure, and repair. The failure may be random and the repair may consist of planned maintenance or inspection. These characteristics demand the availability of maintenance personnel who should be in a preparedness mode to respond to these failure-repair phase cycles. However, the stochastic nature of MRSs makes it difficult to plan maintenance resources ahead. A simulation model is used to estimate the level of maintenance crew size required in a MRS. |
