Zusammenfassung:An interactive computer sequencing aid was developed which combines the optimizing capability of the travelling salesman algorithm with human interaction to form a basis of comparing and evaluating alternative production sequences, thereby serving as an assist to the scheduling of printing presses. The sequencing aid underwent an in-plant tryout by a printing firm in Ottawa, and proved to be a viable and cost-reducing sequencing aid.
