Zusammenfassung: | It is shown that an IBM PC, or compatible personal computer, can perform the functions of a programmable controller, sensing the state of input devices and controlling output devices in real time. In emulating a programmable controller, the computer must cycle indefinitely through a given set of instruction at a fast rate. This function can be accomplished with a control program written in Turbo Pascal. A specific control application is discussed. |
