Zusammenfassung: | The US assumed leadership in rebuilding provisions of the Sustainable Fisheries Act of 1996. Unfortunately, attacks by some both in Congress and the courts would cut the heart out of the act and take policy backwards. Safina et al discuss the current status of the recovery provisions in rebuilding fish populations and ending overfishing. |
