Zusammenfassung:Suicide is the second leading cause of death among youth ages 10–19 years, thus claiming the lives of 2553 in 2016. Suicide rates have increased by 48% in the past decade. Depressed mood is commonly expressed as a warning sign and risk factor of suicide in youth and adults. The following study examined precipitating circumstances of suicide associated with depressed mood at time of death in youth suicide decedents.
