Zusammenfassung:Flexure-induced punching and its cause are recognized in this research. This punching mode is induced by widening of flexural cracks in the vicinity of columns. Peiris and Ghali5 used yield-line analysis to determine the concentric load at which flexure-induced punching occurs. Gayed et al extend this work to eccentric loading. Based on yield-line analysis, a minimum required amount of top flexural reinforcement and its layout are determined. In yield-line analysis, a pattern of compatible yield lines is assumed and by equilibrium, the corresponding failure load is determined. Thus, the analysis applies only when cracking and yielding occurs.
