Response to Irvin Yalom

Karasu comments on Dr. Irvin D. Yalom's acceptance presentation of the Oskar Pfister Award from the American Psychiatric Association. Yalom says his understanding of existence led him to an inescapable scientific world view, however lamentable it was. Extraordinary claims of religion require extraordinary evidence, he says. As far as Karasu is concerned, it is the facts that require explanation.
