Zusammenfassung: | The paper presents the results of an investigation of the penetration of sound jets of hydrogen into a transverse flow with Mach number 4 and their influence on the flow structure in a channel with a flame holder in the form of a backward facing step (BFS). It is shown that the parameters of jet penetration differ from those in free flow conditions on the plate and cannot be predicted based on the application of known empirical relationships. Increase of the jet-to-freestream momentum flux ratio of the hydrogen jet leads to change in the flow structure and the pressure distribution not only in the vicinity of the injected jet, but also downstream behind the BFS due to the effect of the reflected shock wave. |
