Zusammenfassung: | Computation of fluid-structure interaction (FSI) applied to two wind turbine airfoils are investigated in this paper. Flow induced airfoil vibrations simulations are based on RANS (Reynolds Average Navier Stokes) equations written in ALE (Arbitrary Lagrange Euler) formulation, turbulence is modeled using SST k – ω model. Stable airfoil behaviors are found for S809 airfoil for an angle of attack (AOA) 8º, while displacements take an irregular form for an AOA = 18º. |
