Zusammenfassung:A series of new Azo-coumarins and Schiff’s bases were synthesized by the condensation of 2-methoxy-5-methyl phenyl Azo-salicylaldehyde with different substituted phenyl malon-anilic acids by using pyridine as a catalyst.The structures of newly synthesized compounds have been characterized on the basis of elemental analysis,spectral studies like IR and their physical properties.
