Zusammenfassung: | This article outlines the difficulty in assessing the effectiveness of culturally competent responses to diversity and shows how much work remains to be done. Overall, while work in this area has helped to transform professional education and is making its mark on professional practice, it remains true that (1) better models and measures of cultural competence are needed in order to assess its effectiveness and utility, and (2) the influences of other worthwhile interventions may be seriously compromised and their measurement confounded by the lack of better measures of cultural competency. |
