Zusammenfassung: | Self-assembly of tetracene on an anisotropic surface of Ag(110) has been investigated using scanning tunneling microscopy and low-energy electron diffraction. We observe multistage structural transformations of the self-assembled tetracene on Ag(110) as a function of molecular coverages, which are accompanied by the changes in molecular orientations. They are analyzed by a balance between multiple molecule-molecule and anisotropic substrate-molecule interactions. |
