Zusammenfassung:Recent progress in the generation of high-quality, high-current electron beams has enabled the development of structure based wakefield accelerators in use. The frequency spectrum available using these sources ranges from GHz to THz depending on the parameters of the beam and waveguide (dielectric-lined or metallic disk-loaded). In this paper, we discuss the choice of structure and beam parameters to achieve an efficient wakefield acceleration.
