Zusammenfassung: | Infrared spectroscopic analysis of urinary stones is presented as a laboratory experiment for undergraduate students studying life sciences. Infrared spectroscopy, usually combined with the observation of macroscopic and microscopic features, is the preferred tool for unequivocal determination of renal stones composition. In this paper we represent and discuss the IR spectra of some of the most common types of urinary calculi occurring in humans and domestic animals. |
