Cascade sequences in organic synthesis

The study of organic chemistry grew out of human's interest in molecules found in nature and discovery that plants could reveal a host of new and interesting compounds. This fascinating area of chemistry and the attempts by chemists to mimic nature's syntheses in the laboratory (biomimetic synthesis) are discussed.
