In this paper, we study the behaviour of a ferronematic mixture in external magnetic field, considering a new model for the anchoring energy of the nematic molecules on the cell plates in twisted nematic configuration. Using Euler Lagrange equations, we calculated the critical field for the magnetic Freedericksz transition and the saturation field. We observed that both, the critical and the saturation fields increase when the anchoring is stronger. |
