Zusammenfassung: | A resource for integrating argumentation into your science classroom Mr. Lang is struggling to incorporate argumentation into his middle school science instruction. In response to this need, Boston College and the Learning Design Group at the Lawrence Hall of Science collaborated to create The Argumentation Toolkit (see Resources), a collection of free online resources designed to help teachers understand and teach argumentation. The social interactions that occur as students engage in argumentation (e.g., questioning the validity of a peer's evidence, or building on someone's reasoning) make up the second challenging area of this science practice. Megan Goss is the lead literacy developer and Suzanna Loper is the curriculum director, both for the Learning Design Group at the Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California in Berkeley, California. |
