Zusammenfassung:The findings of the Heart and Estrogen/progestin Replacement Study and Women's Health Initiative (WHI) led the FDA to recommend that estrogen preparations not be used to prevent coronary heart disease or considered first-line therapy for prevention of osteoporosis. In summary, the WHI trials suggest that estrogen alone does not have advantages over estrogen plus progestin for treating post-menopausal women.
