Policymaking for the Future: Three Critical Issues

Among the major problems of policymaking for aesthetic education--a term that as used here encompasses both education in the arts and other notable things from an aesthetic point of view--is the tendency for writers to think about policy in terms of their own special interest, but it art, music, theater, dance, the environment, or some other. This tendency simplifies matters but does not address the larger question of the unit of aesthetic education.
