Zusammenfassung:This review organizes the highlights of the jurisprudence for the calendar year 2007 of international supervisory bodies and tribunals that are contributing to the development of international legal norms for the accountability of human rights violations involving criminal justice system issues and international criminal law. The relevant jurisprudence for international criminal law is noted for three ad hoc international criminal tribunals: the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL). The legal developments for three major sources of legal norms for international human rights are also highlighted: the UN Human Rights Committee, the European Court of Human Rights, and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.1
