Zusammenfassung:Changes affecting GO films exposed to о-phenylenediamine solution in 1M H2SO4 and  further effect of voltammetric polarization. [Display omitted] •Successful chemical oxidation of o-phenylenediamine by graphene oxide.•Graphene oxide as an oxidant gradually undergoing partial reduction into reduced graphene oxide.•An easy way to obtaining the thin flexible electroactive conducting films based on RGO and poly-o-phenylenediamine. The chemical interaction of reduced graphene oxide (RGO) and poly-o-phenylenediamine (PPD) was studied. A simple method was proposed for synthesis of thin flexible electroactive conducting films based on reduced graphene oxide and poly-o-phenylenediamine. Thus obtained films were characterized by means of cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance, IR, Raman and XP spectroscopy.
