Zusammenfassung:Now in its 5th year, the Advanced Management Program for the Hospitality Industry (AMPHI) has been successful in meeting its goal of changing the way hospitality executives think. AMPHI is a residential program for senior executives in the hospitality industry and related businesses located at the University of Guelph. Built on basic management disciplines, AMPHI employs the case method as its primary instructional vehicle. The entire experience at AMPHI is designed to engender teamwork. Companies send participants to AMPHI to meet both the needs of the individual managers and the needs of the company. Most of the program's enrollment has come from Canada. Over 90% of participants rated the program as good or excellent in each of the 3 years of evaluations, and over 90% reported that their understanding of other industry segments had improved. Another benefit of the program is that it affords participants the opportunity to seek a new definition of professional worth.
