Zusammenfassung:New random copolymers containing protected aldehyde groups were prepared by radical copolymerization of N -methyl- N -vinylacetamide with allylidene diacetate. The relative activity constants were determined: for N -methyl- N -vinylacetamine, r 1 = 1.02 ± 0.015; for allylidene acetate, r 2 = 0.95 ± 0.02. Removal of the acetyl protecting groups by base hydrolysis of allylidene diacetate units at 45–50°С yielded water-soluble N -methyl- N vinylacetamide copolymers with high content of acrolein units, promising for use as polymer carriers of biologically active compounds.
