Zusammenfassung: | In this paper, four symmetric fractal square resonators (FSR) are gap-coupled to fractal icross antenna (FICA) for the purpose of gain enhancement. A Minkowski generator is used to create iterations on the edges of cross plates and square patches. The high gain behavior of the proposed antenna is due to local modes (high current density active regions) exhibited by fractal slot cuts. A preliminary analysis of simulation results confirm that the FICA with FSR operates in the ultra wide band (UWB) with bandwidths 2.25 -7.26 (105.4%) and 7.72 − 8.43 (8.8%). Proposed antenna shows a maximum gain of 8.43 dBi in the operating range, which is about 2.3 dBi more than the peak gain of reference ICA without fractal. |
