Zusammenfassung:Joseph et al discuss the study of the use of mepolizumab to treat both the cutaneous and systemic features of pediatric eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis. A teenager reported an eruption on the upper thights and palms of 1 month's duration. The patient's condition rapidly declined triggering hospital admission with fever, hypoxemia and eosinophilia. Mepolizumab, an anti-IL-5 monoclonal antibody, is currently being investigated for a number of eosinophil-related disorders, including EGPA.
